Greenhouse is Ready to Plant

It was about two weeks of having the vegetable plants In the greenhouse. They have been growing and growing. We could have left them for a few more days if we needed to. But we had the perfect day and some free time to get planting!

So here starts the viney vegetables for the garden. Lots and lots of cucumbers which we love. It also helps with bugs, because most bugs and some critters do not like the bitterness of the cucumber plants. So they are usually perfect to put around the perimeter of our garden as a natural deterrent.

You might think it is a lot of cucumbers, but ones they start coming in fresh cucumbers are like no other. You can use them for salads, pickles, or just for a yummy snack. Most of our family loves cucumbers. We all also love fresh refrigerator pickles, along with canning them. So the abundance of plants will be put to use, we actually can't wait! Stay tunned for some really yummy recipes!

there was also some zucchini, yellow summer squash, and some eggplant to go in. Need I say more. we can not wait to have all these fresh ingredients to cook with. I also can't wait to share all sorts of good recipes to go along with them.

With any of the viney plants make sure you have something they can climb while they grow. You don't necessarily have to but it definitely helps keep them controls. Ones they start growing they have a mind of their own and sometimes can get out of hand and take over anything that is around them.

The last things that needed planted from the greenhouse were different flowers like morning glories, and sunflowers. We planted the morning glories on the other side of the beans and peas so they can climb up the trellis we have next to where they're all planted.
