🍂 A Summer Thanksgiving to Remember

Things have been so busy that I never got the chance to share this one — but now that October is winding down and Thanksgiving is on its way, I can’t help but look back on our Summer Thanksgiving from August.

Yes, you read that right — Thanksgiving in the middle of summer! 🦃☀️

We decided to have a full Thanksgiving-style dinner out on our back deck, and instead of the usual kitchen setup, we made everything right in our pizza oven. The smell of roasted turkey, veggies, and all the fixings drifted through the warm summer air — it was absolutely heavenly.

It turned out to be one of those perfect golden evenings — the garden full and green, the sunset soft and glowing, and family gathered all around the table. The laughter, the food, and the love in the air made it one of those memories that stays with you.

And the best part? It was River’s very first Thanksgiving (even if it was a summer one)! 🧡 I'm thinking he might even be ready to sample something for the real one coming up.

Now, as fall settles in and November comes knocking, I’m feeling extra thankful for those sunny memories — and excited for the cozy, real Thanksgiving to come.
